As I was thinking about what I wanted this project to be I knew that I wanted to do something that was around an Indie Band. I love Indie music and it only felt right to do that. So I made an ink style gig poster with a zombie hand and it holding a guitar. 

It was harder to come with this concept than I thought it would be. I used key words such as independent and dies as inspiration from one of my favorite bands. That lead me to the zombie style poster. It took time to get the look of it right, but I was able to get the joints, fingernails, and proportions right eventually.

As I was meeting with my mentor on the project, some of the best advice that I was able to receive was to stop overthinking the project that I was working on. Originally, I started using the brush tool to help get the feel that I wanted, but as I discussed the style I was going with more, my mentor suggested I used a stroke with a profile on it and use the width tool. 

Overall, working on this project helped me feel more of an ink style. Which was one of my goals. I do not think that this is a perfect poster, but I was able to learn more about creating it with the style I want and create it representing the style of music I like.
